That time—today actually—when random guy mansplains The Handmaid’s Tale to the author of The Handmaid’s Tale.

On X, author Margaret Atwood posts a cartoon showing womn dressed in Handmaid’s’s Tale attire (red cloaks, white bonnets) going through a voting booth and emeging from it casting off their HT costumes and revealing normal clothing underneath.
A guy called Faces Out of Context replied,
“The author of that book used Islam, not Christianity, an a model for her imaginary world. This is obviously true, as it resembles Islamic culture and law, and not Christian.”
