Several pilots flying over New Jersey reported their planes were hit by lasers in recent days, leading aviation officials to warn residents about the dangers of pointing lasers at aircraft.

"Franklin police asked the general public to avoid the area.

“This is a private event on private property,” a police spokesman said. “Only invited guests will be allowed to enter the parking lot.”...

There is no cause for alarm and no need to contact 911 to report the drone activity confined to this area,” Franklin police said in a statement, adding that law enforcement and fire departments in the area are aware of the event.
