For day 10 of #ArtAdventCalendar I have a portrait of four of our pet #rats in a row at the cage door: Bob, Olivier, Dr. Goggles and Luther Burbank. They are exceptionally nice fellows and are very beloved. They go on outings with us in their jetpack and love to get coffee.
Day 8 of #ArtAdventCalendar is an etching with three techniques: line etch for the fish details, aquatint to make the watery rocks in the background and chine collé (paper collage with the press) to add color to the fish and floating maple leaf.
I was so pleased when the original Beech Walk sold just before Christmas as a surprise gift. I had it down for my #ArtAdventCalendar but didn’t use it in case I gave away the secret! I still have prints available #art

For day 14 of #ArtAdventCalendar I have one of my most beloved images, a jackrabbit that was inspired by Albrecht Durer. The background is a spit bite aquatint technique that I quite enjoy as it gives a watercolor effect. This one was my first piece to be shown in a museum and I kept the wall tag.
