Sometimes I come across an article online that I want to print to read offline or for future reference.

However, printing a website to A4 usually creates one single column of text that stretches the entire page from left to right, which is terrible to read.

I'd like to have the option to print a two or three column layout like it is in a magazine, but I can't find an extension or service that creates something like this.

Does anyone know if this even exists?

Dear Japanese speakers of Fedi,

I'm making a square stamp to sign my sumi-e drawings (it won't be signing anything official).

What I'd like to know is what order the katakana should be, to look like a normal modern signature:

ラア
スム

アラ
ムス

アム
ラス

Hey all, got some questions.

I see in F-Droid that there are "launchers" for android, and they seem to change the appearance of the dashboard.

  1. Does a device have to be rooted to use these?
  2. Do these replace the original, or can I swap back and forth?
  3. Does vanilla Android foul up after one uses these? As in, did it move something around/change something and
  4. Would it void my warranty?
  5. Can one switch back and forth?

I feel like I have others...

#AskFedi #FediAdmin: What’s the system hostname of the server running your Fediverse instance?

Are there any streamers here who could advise on creating a stream that doesn’t drop out?

Being new to this I’m aware it could be a multitude of things but I don’t know where to start.

I’m using OBS and Owncast. I’m wondering if the issue is an under spec’ed computer? Whilst I’m making the stream on an M1 Mac, Owncast is actually running from an i5 ThinkCentre on Debian (Yunohost).

So there’s a LAN in the mix too.

Happy for boosts!

I wonder what is going on with my #nix setup (as a package manager within Linux). Regular nix-env installs do not resolve the right package, but flakes seem to work.

Should we all start using flakes? If I start using flakes, I cannot use the nix-env command without rolling back.
