A spring rain falls at Hokan-ji Temple in Kyoto. A single female figure carries a bamboo umbrella in one hand and a small wrapped package in the other as she crosses the temple grounds; on her way, she passes beneath a cherry tree in full bloom. In the background, the famous five-story Yasaka Pagoda stands tall against the gloomy overcast sky.
