'nascent particle pattern'

E.T.A. Hoffmanns, „Der goldne Topf“, (8. Vigilie/Nachtwache) ist ein völlig schräges Märchen. Ich liebe solche Geschichten.

Anselmus sitzt an seinem Arbeitstisch in der Bibliothek des Archivarius Lindhorst. Die Wand gegenüber gewährt Durchblick in ein tropisches Treibhaus. Links wachsen Palmen aus Schriftrollen empor, rechts ragen dicht gefüllte Bücherregale bis zur Decke. Über dem eifrig mit Schreiben beschäftigten Anselmus schlängelt sich die schöne Serpentina von einem Stachelgewächs herab.

Then out spole the Ex-Master of Foxhounds -- and told his tale.' The Ex-master of Foxhounds then talks while wielding a cigar: '...And I... I once had an odd experience, too.'

Second panel has a fox in the foreground being chased. Text reads 'It was when I had the bromley and sydenham, the year I gave them up -- as a matter of fact it was the last they of the season. Twas early April, and we had drawn blank all day-- And on the last draw of all we found a fox.
