Actual (grim) lol: the incompetent clowns at United (but I repeat myself) messaged me to say my bag would be on a later plane. This would have actually broken me, over 24 hours into this trip.
Luckily my Knog luggage tracker showed it as being correctly on the plane with me, despite United being adamant that it had been offloaded in Newark somehow. I wish them luck searching for it there!
