My family spent Thanksgiving week at a cabin about an hour from home. My son was down by the lake one afternoon and found this tiny shell on the beach. I thought I'd see if I could use my macro lens to make an interesting photo of it. I really like the way the inner spiral of the shell turned out.

This was a fairly dark negative and it took a bunch of tries to get a decent print.
I probably also need to adjust my feelings for exposure times to reflect the season.
Also, I've been spending more time working actually at my work lately, which interferes with getting optimal sunlight conditions :)

I've just got the scans back from my first B&W film for over 50 years. I'd gotten a Oly OM-1 from an auction + some lenses, mint condition. I have to say, I'm really happy with the results. Plenty to work on photographically, but the kit is performing 100%. Here's a "grab shot" as a pony trekking brigade came through Robin Hoods Bay. 1st is simply scanned, 2nd cropped and contrast changed. Film cheapo ISO 400.
